She felt like the lonely tree that fell in the woods
No one aware, no one to care.
Her cry echoed through the forest
As the birds took flight and sang a prayer
She laid there, broken, on a bed of dry leaves.
"No one knew I was here, no one will know I am gone -- this is the end, the dusk to my dawn"
All along the One above was a witness
Aware of it all, aware of her pain,
So she was given another chance -- born again.
As a beautiful tree, this time in a public park
Visited by many, background for photographs
A tug here -- a pull there
Tortured by carvings of professed loves
Suffocated by all the pollution of the city
And so she reminisced her previous life
As the lonely, *peaceful* tree in the woods..
